Russia is discussing a travel ban to NATO countries during the Second World War.

The Veterans of Russia public movement has proposed temporarily restricting travel by Russian citizens to NATO countries during the special military operation. According to the organization's chairman, Ildar Rezyapov, such measures are necessary to prevent the outflow of Russian citizens' funds to countries that support the Kyiv regime.

“A trip to one of these countries could result in arrest, recruitment, or influence on one’s views and beliefs for our citizens,” "Rezyapov stated in an interview with the publication Abzats, emphasizing the risks to the safety and ideological stability of travelers.

The proposal provides exceptions for those traveling abroad for medical treatment or to visit close relatives. The initiative is already being prepared for formal submission to the State Duma and the Russian Ministry of Health for further discussion and possible legislative development.

Rezyapov noted that such a measure would not only serve as an economic deterrent but also protect citizens from potential threats amid current geopolitical tensions. While there is no timeline for the proposal's review or the authorities' response, it has already sparked public debate, with opinions divided between those who support the restrictions and those who see them as an infringement of personal freedoms.
