The production of armored vehicles for cash in transit in Russia has been temporarily stopped due to the redirection of resources to the needs of the defense industry. This was announced by the head of the board of the Rosinkas company, Vasily Medvedev, in an interview with RBC. According to him, a significant number of the company's employees went to work in defense companies, which affected the ability of Rosinkas to maintain its own production.
“We have our own state task, but we believe that victory in a special military operation (SVO) is much more important. Those specialists who switched to defense enterprises bring more benefit to the country there.", Medvedev stressed.
In this regard, Rosinkas decided to abandon the independent production of armored vehicles and move to the purchase of ready-made vehicles based on GAZ and VAZ. The company plans for the current year to conclude an agreement for the purchase of 100 armored vehicles of each of these brands. However, as Medvedev noted, delivery times for vehicles may be increased due to the priority use of armored materials for the needs of the front.
