Sabotage on railway prevented in Russia

The Federal Security Service of Russia has prevented an attempt at sabotage on the railway tracks in Nizhny Novgorod. As part of the operation, a young man born in 2003 was detained, who is suspected of preparing to blow up the railway on the orders of his Ukrainian handlers.

According to the FSB, the detainee maintained contact with a Ukrainian citizen, from whom he received instructions to commit a terrorist attack. According to the published correspondence, the curator emphasized the need to detonate the explosion in front of a moving train so that the driver would not have time to react. This plan could have led to serious consequences, including human casualties and significant damage to infrastructure.

Before the attempted bombing, the suspect was involved in arson and graffiti, which, according to him, brought him small monetary rewards. For his actions, he received up to 2500 rubles. During interrogation, the detainee admitted to participating in the preparation of the sabotage and confirmed his connection with the Ukrainian curator.

The intelligence services note that such cases are becoming more and more frequent, which indicates attempts by foreign structures to destabilize the situation in Russia.
