Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has stated that Germany is discussing the possibility of using Sonderkommandos, formed from Ukrainian nationalists, to carry out police functions in Ukraine.
"The German military has already turned to the experience of the Nazi invaders establishing an occupation regime in Ukraine during the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, the Bundeswehr has come to the conclusion that it will be impossible to carry out police functions without Sonderkommandos of Ukrainian nationalists. They will come up with a new name, but in essence they will be the same Bandera punishers," — the SVR press bureau stated.
According to intelligence information, such units will be created under the pretext of ensuring law and order and stability in the control zones. However, according to the SVR, their activities could lead to increased repression against the civilian population and increased tension in Ukraine.
There has been no official comment on this information from the German side yet, especially since Berlin does not consider it necessary to comment on the statements of Russian agencies.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service stated that Western countries intend to occupy the territory of Ukraine.
