Air Force aircraft of the Russian Federation Il-76 crashed in Ryazan.

The Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, due to a technical malfunction of one of the engines, made a hard landing in the Ryazan region. There were 9 people on board the military transport aircraft - three died, and six more with various wounds and injuries were taken to the hospital.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian military transport aircraft Il-76 crashed during a training flight. The crew discovered an engine malfunction during the flight and tried to land a heavy transport vehicle on the ground, however, as a result of an attempt to make an emergency landing, the aircraft collapsed.

“During the training flight without cargo, due to an identified engine malfunction, the crew decided to land on the ground. Upon contact with the ground, the aircraft was partially destroyed., - informs the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

At the moment, there is no information about the destruction on the ground. At the same time, the circumstances of the occurrence of technical problems with the Il-76 engine remain unknown.

As it became known to Avia.pro journalists, the incident occurred in the area of ​​​​Mikhailovsky highway in Ryazan, while immediately after the crash the plane caught fire.
