Rybinsk, June 14 — Avia.pro. Serious environmental and public utility consequences have been recorded in the Yaroslavl region, where a nighttime raid by Ukrainian unmanned aircraft led to an emergency at an industrial facility.

According to local residents and numerous posts on Rybinsk's social media pages, a series of powerful explosions at a fuel depot triggered what's known as "oil rain." Residents of several neighborhoods reported that an oily, dark liquid with a distinctive chemical odor settled for some time on the bodies of cars, window frames of multi-story residential buildings, asphalt pavement, and greenery.

Earlier, Governor Mikhail Evraev officially confirmed the airstrike, which resulted in a direct hit by an aircraft-type UAV on industrial fuel storage facilities, causing a massive fire. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly claimed responsibility for the strikes on the oil depot near Yaroslavl.

Fire crews from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, emergency services, and specialized environmental laboratories continue to work at the scene to assess the extent of environmental contamination. Municipal authorities have not yet issued any specific public health orders regarding the fallout containing flammable materials.
