SVO News, December 13, 2025, Avia.pro. On Saturday, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian regions, using 450 attack drones and 30 missiles of various types. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, emphasizing that the main target of the strikes was the country's energy infrastructure, particularly in the southern regions and the Odesa region.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy clarified that Russian forces struck electricity generation, distribution, and transmission facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. To coordinate the response, an anti-crisis headquarters was established under the leadership of Minister Oleksandr Vyazovchenko, who called on citizens to conserve electricity and prepare for possible outages. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than one million Ukrainians were left without power, marking one of the largest power grid outages since the beginning of the conflict.
