In Syria, the Russian military transport aircraft An-26 crashed.

Today in the afternoon in Syria, a Russian military transport plane An-26 crashed. According to the source of the resource, the military aircraft landed at the Russian air base Khmeimim (Syria), however, under circumstances unknown at the moment, crashed.

On board the Russian military transport aircraft An-26 was 32 man, including six crew members and 26 passengers, while surviving as a result of the tragedy no one succeeded.



Originally, there was information that the plane could have been fired by terrorists, however, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu completely refuted this information, noting that the main version of the An-26 plane crash in Syria is a technical malfunction.

For what purpose the Russian military aircraft carried out the transportation of servicemen, so far it remains unknown.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expressed deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.
