The strikes were delivered mainly by means of artillery and from ATGMs. The attack, apparently, was a big surprise for the Turkish army. As a result, at least 12 Turkish military and 10 militants were eliminated.

The Turkish Defense Ministry has so far refused to give any official comments on the deaths of Turkish soldiers in the Al-Bab area. It is noteworthy that a few hours ago special forces of the Turkish army arrived in Syrian Afrin. This does not exclude the possibility that Ankara may prepare a new military operation in the north and northwest of Syria, although there have been no comments on this from the Turkish military command.
