Krasnodar Krai, June 5 — Avia.pro. A drone threat has been officially declared in the resort city of Sochi and the federal territory of Sirius. Sirens from the regional centralized warning system have been activated in the town, as announced by Mayor Andrei Proshunin on his official Telegram channel.

The mayor asked local residents and tourists to remain calm and follow safety instructions. Those inside buildings are advised to move away from windows and into buildings with solid, load-bearing walls. People on the streets are advised to seek shelter in basements, underground passages, or parking lots.

Due to preventative flight safety measures, Sochi International Airport has temporarily restricted the arrival and departure of aircraft. Eyewitnesses have also been urged to refrain from posting footage of air defense operations on social media. Emergency services have been placed on high alert.
