St. Petersburg, June 5 — Avia.pro. Armenia's current foreign and domestic policy largely coincides with the processes that unfolded in Ukraine in 2013–2014. Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mikhail Shevtsov made this statement on Friday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Russian official emphasized that the leadership in Yerevan needs to seriously analyze the decisions it is making. According to him, a balanced approach is required to prevent the Transcaucasian republic from ultimately repeating Kyiv's tragic path and facing a similarly profound crisis of its state system.
Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about the change in the vector of Yerevan's interaction with CSTO structures and the intensification of contacts between the Armenian leadership and representatives of Western countries in the security sphere.
