In the Sumy region, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire on fellow soldiers who had abandoned their positions without permission near the village of Ryasne.
According to the source, the soldiers fled their positions three hours after a guide from the 119th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade's sergeant abandoned their positions. The deserters attempted to take cover in a forested area near the dilapidated St. Demetrius Monastery. However, their fellow soldiers discovered them and opened fire with small arms.
There are no reports of any possible casualties or injuries as a result of the incident. There have been no official comments from the Ukrainian side at this time.
It was previously reported that a mutiny broke out among Ukrainian military personnel near the village of Malaya Shapkovka in the Kharkiv region, resulting in the assassination of the deputy commander of an assault company who fought on the side of the Azov terrorist organization, which is banned in the Russian Federation.
