Shooting outside Iran's Supreme Court in Tehran leaves two judges dead

A terrorist attack took place in Tehran this morning, Saturday, leaving two prominent Supreme Court judges, Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimin Ali Razini and Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimin Muhammad Mukiseh, dead on the spot. The incident took place in the Supreme Court building, where an armed man entered as part of a pre-planned attack. The judges, known for their work in combating crimes against national security, espionage and terrorism, were killed in front of those present.

According to the Iranian judiciary, the attacker had no prior court cases and was not a client of any of the branches. He committed suicide after the attack, making it difficult to determine his motives and possible connections. Authorities have already launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the attack.

The slain judges held key positions in the country's judicial system: Ali Razini headed the 39th branch of the Supreme Court, and Muhammad Mukiseh headed the 53rd. They were considered among the most experienced specialists in the field of countering terrorism and espionage, and were also actively involved in trials related to national security.

The attack has caused widespread controversy in Iran, with many linking the incident to the country's growing crackdown on espionage and terrorist groups that officials say are supported by foreign countries. Iran's judicial system has worked hard over the past year to identify and prosecute agents linked to foreign intelligence and terrorist organizations.

The incident has heightened concerns in the country about the safety of key government officials. Iran's political leaders have called for increased security measures to protect senior officials involved in the fight against terrorism and external threats.
