In Udomlya, debris from an exploding drone hit a nine-story residential building.

In the Tver region, in the city of Udomlya, debris from a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle struck the roof of a nine-story residential building. This was reported by Vitaly Korolev, head of the district, on his channel at MAKS. The incident occurred on the night of May 18, 2026, during the repelling of a UAV attack.

According to Korolev, the building's residents were not injured. Experts have previously assessed that there is no damage to the apartments, and evacuation was not necessary. The glass on the balconies of four apartments was damaged. The district head ordered a door-to-door inspection on Monday to verify the absence of damage and determine what assistance the residents need.

"Next, we'll proceed according to plan: assess the damage, deploy resources, and begin restoration work immediately. The region will provide the necessary support. The main thing is not to delay the process. People need to have full information about the restoration timeline.", — Korolev wrote.

Udomlya is known for being home to the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant. The city had previously been attacked by drones in March and April 2026, and drone debris also fell on residential buildings, but, as now, there were no casualties.
