An Enstrom 480 helicopter belonging to the Bolivarian Armed Forces crashed in Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela. The incident occurred on the morning of October 3 in the San Vicente neighborhood, near a landfill in the municipality of Girardo. According to preliminary reports, two crew members, a man and a woman, both military personnel, were killed.

The aircraft, registration number YV-3549, was being used for training flights and took off from Sucre Air Base. The crash resulted in the complete destruction of the aircraft, requiring the immediate intervention of rescue services. Units from the National Risk System, the Civil Protection Service, firefighters, and the National Guard of Bolivarian Venezuela arrived at the scene. The Bureau of Scientific, Criminal, and Forensic Investigation was also deployed to examine the wreckage and recover the bodies.

The Bolivarian Air Force has launched an internal investigation into the cause of the crash. This is the second air crash in Venezuela in the past week, but details of the previous incident have not been clarified.
