A cache of hexogen and detonators was discovered in the Voronezh region

In the Nizhnedevitsky district of the Voronezh region, FSB officers discovered a large cache of explosives and detonators. The arsenal found includes 5 kg of hexogen, three instantaneous electric detonators and a radio-technical device that is triggered by shaking. All items were wrapped in plastic film and hidden in the forest near the village of Kuchugury. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the FSB.

The cache was discovered by chance during an inspection of the crime scene in another case. According to investigators, the explosives and detonators were hidden by 46-year-old Sergei R. and his 23-year-old son Dmitry from the Belgorod region. At the beginning of 2023, they met Ukrainian citizen Mikhail S. through the Telegram messenger. A few months later, having met at the Lozovaya Rudka farm in the Belgorod region, Mikhail gave the men explosives and an explosive device.

After handing over the arsenal, Sergei and Dmitry transported it to the Voronezh region, where they hid it in the forest. At the moment, a criminal case has been opened against them under the article on illegal trafficking in explosives.

Operational activities in this case continue, law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances and possible accomplices in the crime.
