the 9th of June. In the Southern military circle of the Russian Federation, a special detachment was established today to eliminate the consequences of emergencies and situations.

The group includes about 3.5 thousands of military personnel, about 500 units of vehicles and 12 helicopters Mi-8 и Mi-26. The grouping of special forces was primarily established to combat floods - helicopters are equipped with special drainage devices, which will, if necessary, quickly get rid of any consequences of flood waters, flooding rivers and floods.

It is worth noting that prior to the creation of a grouping, issues of this nature were dealt with by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, however, due to the insufficiency of forces and equipment, it was decided to entrust the solution of such problems to a special detachment.
