During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer made a statement regarding arms supplies and the use of long-range Storm Shadow missiles. According to him, despite the importance of supporting Ukraine, strikes with such missiles on Russian territory will not help Kyiv win the war.
Starmer stressed that his country was committed to continuing to provide military assistance to Ukraine to ensure that it was in the best possible position in the conflict. However, he noted that no conflict could be won solely by one type of weapon, no matter how effective.
"We are certainly interested in supporting Ukraine in its fight and supplying it with the necessary weapons. But I want to remind you that no war in history has ever been won with weapons alone. The UK government's position on the use of long-range missiles such as Storm Shadow remains unchanged."", the British Prime Minister said.
