The Venezuelan Air Force has released a video showing Su-30MK2 fighters armed with Russian Kh-31 anti-ship missiles, which experts believe signals readiness for maritime deterrence in the face of the growing American presence in the region, according to Army Recognition.

Footage circulated on social media on October 29 showed a pair of Su-30MK2 multirole fighter jets flying over the Caribbean Sea, armed with Kh-31 missiles.

"By choosing to disclose this particular configuration, Venezuela is not only demonstrating that its Su-30 fleet remains operational and adequately armed, but is also signaling that the US will suffer losses," — the publication notes.
