Iran's Supreme Leader lifted restrictions on missile strike ranges

Tehran, October 8. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered the lifting of all restrictions on the range of Iran's ballistic missiles, according to Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee.

Previously, as Ardestani noted, the range of Iranian ballistic missiles was officially limited to 2200 kilometers by decision of Khamenei, who considered this necessary.

"In the past, for reasons deemed appropriate by the Supreme Leader, the range of Iran's ballistic missiles was officially limited to 2200 km," " he said in a comment to Iranian media.

The decision to lift the restrictions follows recent military developments and statements by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders who previously hinted at the need to expand the strike radius.
