The head of the Chuvash Republic confirmed official data on the aftermath of the overnight drone strike on Cheboksary. Two people were killed in the attack. Another 32 local residents were injured, according to updated government data.
Twenty-eight apartment buildings, home to 8,500 residents, were damaged. About 700 of them are currently in temporary accommodation centers. They are receiving all necessary assistance, including medical and psychological support.
A regional state of emergency has been declared in the republic. The head of Chuvashia has taken charge of the response team to the aftermath of the attack. A special hotline has been opened for consultations with entrepreneurs whose businesses were also affected by the attack. Authorities continue to assess the damage and restore damaged infrastructure.
