Airport Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk can be sold.

Information about this was voiced by the acting governor of the Sakhalin region, however, according to experts, everything will depend first of all on the interest of future buyers, which may not be so much.

At the moment, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport is owned by the region, with the air harbor actively used for both receiving and sending passenger flights to various domestic destinations, and as an air transport hub for receiving, servicing and dispatching cargo aircraft on various routes.

It is assumed that next year the runway of the South Sakhalin airport will begin to be reconstructed, and in addition, a new building will be built on the site of the old airport complex, which in turn may attract new air carriers for the airport which can purchase an air port.
