The command of the Russian Navy sent the fifth submarine to Syria

At the base of the Russian Navy in Syria, there are already five submarines.

In addition to the two Russian diesel-electric submarines Rostov-on-Don and Stary Oskol, previously located at the Russian Navy base in Syrian Tartus, it became known that three more diesel-electric submarines were sent to Syria, and not two , as previously reported by the information and news portal Avia.pro. Information on this matter was announced by the shipbuilding industry.

According to the source, at the moment in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, in addition to the submarines "Rostov-on-Don" and "Stary Oskol", there are already such submarines as "Volkhov", "Krasnodar" and "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky". All non-nuclear submarines are armed with Caliber cruise missiles. In this regard, the increase in the grouping of the Russian fleet in the Mediterranean Sea is associated with the planned attacks on the forces of terrorists, especially since it became known earlier about the massive retreat of militants to the northern part of Idlib.

Among other things, the Russian frigate "Admiral Essen", as well as the patrol ship "Vasily Bykov", armed with cruise missiles "Caliber", are also located in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, as previously reported.

Obviously, the first three were not found
