Military correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny was transferred to intensive care

Well-known war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, injured as a result of a drone attack in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, was transferred to the intensive care unit of a burn clinic. According to sources, the journalist is conscious, is actively in contact with doctors and demonstrates good recovery indicators, including a healthy appetite.

Previously, Poddubny was placed in a shock room for emergency care, but now his condition has stabilized, which made it possible to transfer him to the general intensive care ward. Treatment is carried out in accordance with current clinical recommendations and no major surgical interventions are currently required.

Poddubny breathes on his own with the help of an oxygen mask and his condition is assessed as steadily improving. Doctors report that there is no threat to the journalist’s life and he is confidently recovering. Let us recall that on August 7, a military correspondent received burns to 20% of his body when his car was attacked by a kamikaze drone while working in a combat zone.

The incident occurred at a time when Poddubny was covering events in the Sudzhansky district, where Ukrainian formations were trying to break into Russian territory. Despite severe injuries, the journalist maintains his fighting spirit and strives for a speedy recovery.
