The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced that it has thwarted an attempt to bribe Russian servicemen in the conflict zone. According to information provided by the special services, Ukrainian military intelligence offered the Russian military a reward of $1 million to abandon their positions in the Gorlovka area. However, this plan was foiled thanks to the operational work of counterintelligence.

The bribery attempt reportedly included not only financial offers, but also security guarantees for those who decided to surrender. The Ukrainian side hoped to destabilize the defense in one of the key sections of the front, but the actions of the FSB prevented the implementation of these plans.

Ukraine has not officially commented on this incident. However, independent analysts note that in the context of the ongoing conflict, the use of such methods is becoming increasingly likely, since both sides are seeking to strengthen their positions not only militarily, but also psychologically.
