Military review: Ukrainian military crossed the border of the LPR and occupied the village of Makeevka

Ukrainian troops occupied another settlement in the Luhansk region.

As a result of an unexpected attack by Ukrainian troops, the border of the Luhansk region was violated and after advancing in the area of the settlement of Grekovka, the Ukrainian military occupied the settlement of Makeevka, located kilometers deep into the LPR. Apparently, the settlement of Makeyevka could have been occupied by the forces of the 95th brigade, as reported by the journalists of the Military Review publication.

“The Ukrainian army crossed the western border of the Luhansk People's Republic, which is officially part of the Russian Federation, and partially occupied the village of Makeyevka. The enemy has already crossed the Zherebets River and is moving towards the R-66 highway, which leads to Kremennaya. On the way of the AFU advance to Krasnorechensk, which is likely to become their next target, there is a water barrier in the form of the Krasnaya River. But this tributary of the Seversky Donets is not as wide as, for example, the Oskol, which the Ukrainian troops successfully crossed on a wide front. In the near future, it is this water obstacle that may become the last section of defense on the Lower Duvanka-Svatovo-Kremennaya line. ”, - report the journalists of the publication "Military Review".

At the moment, it is known that the Ukrainian troops do not show any intention to move further in this direction. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine rely on small mobile groups, which most often do not even hide behind heavy equipment, thus placing an emphasis on mobility.
