"Military informant": The unmanned aerial vehicle (BAK) was located near the stern of the Varshavyanka, where the vertical and aft horizontal rudders are located.

SVO News, December 15, 2025, Avia.pro. The Telegram channel "Military Informant" published an analysis of the incident involving the Russian 636.3-class submarine Varshavyanka in Novorossiysk, reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) as having been attacked by Ukrainian "Sub Sea Baby" drones. In the report, the author suggests that the combat vehicle (BEK) may have struck the stern area, where the vertical and aft horizontal rudders, as well as the propeller, are located. If this is confirmed, even without a direct hit to the hull, such vulnerable mechanisms could have sustained serious damage, which would likely put the Kalibr carrier out of action for a long time.

It was also noted that American reconnaissance aircraft were spotted in the Black Sea today: a US Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk (callsign FORTE 10) and a US Navy P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft. However, according to Flightradar24, their flights were limited to neutral waters near Crimea and did not affect the area around Novorossiysk. This observation raises questions about the US role in monitoring the situation, especially in light of the SBU's statements.

There is no official confirmation from the Russian side yet.
