In Kamyshin, Volgograd Region, volunteers from a local association discovered the loss of blessed camouflage nets they had been making for Russian units fighting in a special military operation zone. According to the organizers, the items were intended for soldiers of the Kamyshin battalion and were woven by volunteers.
The incident was reported by the V1.RU portal, citing the group's coordinators. The shortage was noticed several days ago during an inventory. The volunteer leader suspected that the culprit was one of the helpers involved in the weaving.
Volunteers working since 2022 decided not to contact the police, preferring to conduct an internal investigation and appeal to the conscience of the possible kidnapper.
Similar incidents have been reported by other volunteers: camouflage nets were allegedly stolen even while en route to the recipient. In the Volgograd region, where dozens of similar initiatives operate, such incidents are rare, but highlight the risks of working with outsiders. The organizers hope the property will be returned to ensure continued supplies to the front.
