On the morning of April 9, 2025, an incident occurred in Chelyabinsk that caused alarm among residents: an unknown man armed with a knife entered the building of school No. 145 in the Novosineglazovo microdistrict. This was reported by the SHOT Telegram channel, citing eyewitnesses. Fortunately, the attacker did not manage to harm the students or staff of the school, thanks to the prompt actions of the security guard and the physical education teacher, who were able to neutralize him.

According to SHOT, the man burst into the school hallway at around 8:30 a.m., right after classes had started. Eyewitnesses said he was behaving inappropriately, waving a knife and shouting threats. A school security guard and a physical education teacher who were nearby reacted immediately: they overpowered the attacker and held him until the Russian National Guard arrived. The squad that arrived detained the man, after which he was handed over to the police for further investigation. The attacker's identity and motives for his actions have not yet been established, but, according to preliminary information, he was not connected with the school and did not have any relatives among the students there.

The incident in Novosineglazovo was yet another attack on an educational institution in the Chelyabinsk region, which once again raises the issue of school safety. In September 2024, a 13-year-old schoolboy attacked students and teachers at School No. 68 in Chelyabinsk with a hammer, injuring three children and a teacher. Then the teenager also tried to harm himself after the attack, and, according to the Telegram channel 74.RU, a knife and an air pistol were found on him. This incident caused a wide resonance and the regional authorities promised to strengthen security measures, including installing additional cameras and increasing the number of security guards.
