On the territory of Ukraine, NATO troops were taken prisoner, which, according to the assurance of the head of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, "do not take part in hostilities on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine." The exact number of NATO soldiers who were captured has not yet been given, however, judging by unofficial data, we can talk about dozens of active military personnel of NATO countries.

“We already have prisoners among the military personnel of NATO countries, we will show all this when we conduct trials and the whole world will see what really happened”, - Andrey Klimov, deputy head of the United Russia commission, said.

Earlier it became known that not only mercenaries, militants and “volunteers”, but also active military personnel from such countries as Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA, etc. could be in Ukraine. Considering the officially made statement, it is logical to assume that part of the NATO military disclosed the direct presence of a NATO military contingent in Ukraine.

Earlier there were reports that an American general could have been captured in Ukraine, but this information was not confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense, and was later refuted by the American side.
