Su-35 fighter and Ukrainian Mi-14 fighter dogfight caught on video

A short-lived battle between a Su-35 fighter and a Ukrainian Mi-14 helicopter was filmed.

In the Odessa region, a transient battle between a Ukrainian Mi-14 helicopter and a Su-35S fighter accidentally caught on video. Despite the attempt of the Mi-14 helicopter to get away from the fighter at extremely low altitude, in order to avoid being hit by the weapons of the combat aircraft, the helicopter was damaged and after a few seconds fell into the water.

On the presented video frames, you can see how the Mi-14 helicopter accidentally meets the Su-35 fighter. Obviously, trying to get away from the combat aircraft, the crew of the combat rotorcraft tried to get away from the weapons of the fighter at low altitude. Believing that the pilot would not be able to guide the missiles in this case, the rotorcraft was still hit. On the video frames, you can hear how the fighter fires a volley from an aircraft cannon at the helicopter, which turned out to be critical for the rotorcraft.

It is noteworthy that on board the hit helicopter was a retired colonel of the Ukrainian Navy, Igor Bedzay, who, as stated earlier, died during an unsuccessful attempt by the Ukrainian military to land on Zmeiny Island. At the same time, this means that the helicopter with a retired colonel of the Ukrainian Navy was shot down after an unsuccessful attempt to land on Zmeiny Island, and not during the landing.
