The Russian Armed Forces prevented an attempt to break through by Ukrainian units that were in operational encirclement near Kurakhovo by carrying out preventive strikes on the enemy's concentration of equipment and personnel. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, which emphasized that the actions of the Russian military made it possible to disrupt the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the preparation stage.
According to the Defense Ministry, drone reconnaissance has recorded a concentration of Ukrainian light armored vehicles, cars, and personnel in the area of the village of Dachnoye, located west of Kurakhovo. This settlement remains hemmed in on three sides, and the only road leading to Ulakly and further to Constantinople is under fire control of Russian troops.
"The enemy units were probably planning either a counterattack or an attempt to break out of the encirclement. However, thanks to the prompt actions of our intelligence and the precise work of rocket artillery, the plans were thwarted before they were implemented," - the source reports.
Rocket artillery crews from the 103rd Motorized Rifle Regiment were deployed to strike the concentration of manpower and equipment of Ukrainian units. The combat vehicles hit a number of targets in Dachnoye, destroying enemy equipment and personnel. This strike finally thwarted the plan of the Ukrainian units, the military emphasizes.
After the liberation of Kurakhovo, Russian troops are actively working to squeeze the neck of the so-called cauldron in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces units find themselves. Despite the possibility of breaking out of the encirclement along the only route, Ukrainian units, according to intelligence, are not receiving orders to retreat. This, according to analysts, significantly complicates their situation and makes a successful breakthrough unlikely.
