Three municipalities in the Belgorod region were attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours, resulting in four civilian casualties, including a minor. Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported this on his Telegram channel.
In the village of Varvarovka in the Belgorod District, a 17-year-old boy was injured in a drone attack. He was diagnosed with barotrauma. He was hospitalized at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, where doctors are providing him with all necessary care. In the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, a man was injured in a drone attack and presented himself at the Shebekinskaya Central District Hospital. After receiving initial treatment, he was taken to the Regional Clinical Hospital for further examination. Doctors diagnosed the patient with a mine blast injury and an eye wound.
In the same village, Novaya Tavolzhanka, a soldier from the Orlan unit was injured when a drone detonated. His fellow soldiers took him to the Shebekinskaya Central District Hospital, where he was diagnosed with barotrauma. After receiving treatment, he will continue treatment as an outpatient.
In the city of Shebekino, a man suffered a barotrauma as a result of a drone detonation in mid-air. An ambulance crew is currently transporting him to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2. The governor announced that details of the medical treatment provided, as well as information on support measures for the victims, will be released soon.
As a reminder, a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, initiated by US President Donald Trump, is in effect from May 9 to 11. Despite the ceasefire, shelling of civilian infrastructure and attacks on civilians from the Ukrainian side continue. Earlier, Governor Gladkov reported a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attack on a Magnit supermarket in the village of Razumne, injuring five people, including a 12-year-old girl.
