The situation on the border of the Krasnoyarsk district of the Belgorod region remains extremely difficult and continues to escalate. Fierce clashes are taking place in the area covering the villages of Popovka, Demidovka and Grafovka, initiated by the enemy, who is trying to break through the Russian defense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have deployed elite units for the offensive, including army special forces, special operations forces (SOF), assault groups, as well as foreign mercenaries from the so-called International Legion of Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Veteran's Notes".

The battles are characterized by the active use of modern weapons by both sides. The enemy is using attack drones and artillery to suppress Russian positions, while the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) together with operational-tactical missile systems (OTRK) are delivering retaliatory strikes on rear facilities and enemy force concentrations in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Russian troops are trying to stop breakthrough attempts by holding the line of defense and inflicting damage on enemy manpower and equipment. Tension has been ongoing for several days, indicating the intention of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to gain a foothold in the border zone and create a bridgehead for further action. 

The Krasnoyarsk region, located at the junction of the Belgorod, Kursk and Sumy regions, has become one of the key points of the conflict. Local authorities previously closed the entrance to the region, and the population was evacuated from border villages due to security threats. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has repeatedly emphasized the complexity of the situation, calling on residents to strictly follow the instructions of law enforcement agencies. The fighting is accompanied by significant destruction: in Grafovka, for example, a school was damaged, and in Demidovka, destruction of residential buildings was recorded, which confirms the high density of fire in this area.
