The Ukrainian Armed Forces have found themselves in an operational encirclement near the village of Annovka, located south of the city of Kurakhovo in Donbas. This was reported by Ukrainian sources, including the DeepState platform, as well as the platoon commander of the 24th separate assault battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces "Aidar" (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation - editor's note) Stanislav Bunyatov. According to him, the situation in the so-called "Kurakhovka pocket" is rapidly deteriorating and becoming critical.

According to incoming information, Russian troops are increasing pressure on this section of the front, using artillery, aviation and tactical groups to block supply routes and maneuvers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The escalation of fighting in this area threatens the holding of positions by Ukrainian forces, and also creates serious risks for the withdrawal of personnel from encirclement.

"The situation in the Kurakhovsky district is extremely difficult. We urgently need reinforcements and artillery support, otherwise we may lose this area," — Bunyatov writes on his social networks.

Kurakhovo, located in a strategically important area, is a key node of Ukrainian defense in the southern part of Donbas. Losing control over this area could open the way for Russian troops to further advance and strengthen their positions in the region. The Ukrainian command has not yet made official statements, but it is known that measures are being taken to stabilize the situation.

Russian sources claim that the successes on this section of the front were made possible by coordinated actions of artillery and mechanized units. They also claim that the encirclement of Ukrainian forces near Kurakhovo is part of a general strategy to create favorable conditions for a further offensive.
