The Armed Forces of Ukraine risked getting close with the Himars system to the strike distance of Russian howitzers

The Ukrainian military took the risk of transferring Himars systems to the front line.

During the latest strike on Alchevsk, which the LPR claimed was carried out using a Himars multiple launch rocket system, the Ukrainian military took a serious risk and moved their Himars systems close to the front line - the strike was delivered from a distance of approximately 20-25 kilometers from the front line, which allowed the Russian military and units of the DPR and LPR to cover the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with artillery.

As it turned out, during the last strike on Alchevsk, the American Himars systems were deployed near the village of Konstantinovka. This circumstance indicates that the distance to the front line, in the area of \u20b\u25bthe settlement of Bakhmut, was about XNUMX-XNUMX kilometers. Often, the Ukrainian military does not bring its Himars systems so close to the front, since counter-battery systems can retaliate and destroy American launchers in just a few seconds. Probably for this reason, the Ukrainian military fired only one rocket, after which they quickly retreated so as not to be under return fire.

At the moment, the reasons for the use of Himars in Alchevsk remain unknown, since the blow fell on an apartment building.
