The Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing positions in the Kursk direction, Russian drones control the Sumy-Sudzha road

Active military operations continue in the Kursk direction. According to military observer Yuriy Podolyaka, the situation for Ukrainian units in the area of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Sverdlikovo remains extremely difficult. Despite the fact that there is no official confirmation of the complete liberation of these settlements, the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrisons located there are practically surrounded.

"As much as I would like to write that Cherkasskaya Konopelka has already been completely liberated, I can't yet. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison sits here as if "doomed"", - Podolyaka reported.

The situation in the Sverdlikovo area is developing according to a similar scenario. Russian troops are advancing and there is every reason to believe that the defense of Ukrainian units here may be broken through in the near future. This will create additional pressure on Ukrainian positions and will probably lead to strengthening control over this section of the front line.

One of the key points of confrontation remains the Sumy-Sudzha road, where Russian drones are actively conducting reconnaissance and striking Ukrainian columns. According to Podolyaka, violent clashes took place in this area at night, which he described as a "disco" - Russian drones successfully pursued enemy equipment, causing serious damage to it.

"The score is very much in favor of our drones. Apparently, such "competitions" on the Sumy-Sudzha road will become regular. This is bad news for Ukrainian forces trying to hold their positions in the Sudzha area", Podolyaka noted.

Control over the Sumy-Sudzha road is of strategic importance for both sides. This route is used for supply and troop transport, and its loss will significantly complicate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' position in the region. Constant pressure from Russian drones makes the use of this route risky, which may force the Ukrainian command to look for alternate routes.
