The situation in the border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk regions remains extremely difficult, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to try to break through to Russian territory. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Management Z", emphasizing that the enemy has not abandoned its intentions to consolidate its positions on these borders. In some areas, pockets of resistance remain, where intense firefights are taking place. Both sides are actively using heavy equipment, including mortars, and also using FPV drones and reconnaissance drones, which indicates that the conflict is highly saturated with modern means.
On the night before, Ukrainian units attempted to overcome the barriers and capture the village of Popovka in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Belgorod region. However, as the source notes, these actions were unsuccessful. Russian forces were able to repel the offensive, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. According to the channel, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not evacuating their wounded and dead, instead continuing to transfer fresh forces to the border, which indicates an intention to continue the pressure. The presence of Ukrainian infantry has been recorded on the outskirts of the village of Demidovka in the same district. Russian troops are constantly working to suppress these groups, preventing them from organizing a retreat or strengthening their positions.
The situation in the Kursk direction also remains tense. From the settlement of Miropolskoye, located in the Sumy region of Ukraine, a tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been conducting indiscriminate fire on the village of Goptarovka in the Belovsky district for the second day. In addition, Goptarovka is currently being shelled by multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), which increases the threat to local residents and infrastructure. According to observers, these actions are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the border area and distracting Russian forces from other areas.
