In the border areas of the Belgorod region, hostilities continue. The main focus of clashes is near the village of Demidovka in the Krasnoyarsk region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have made repeated attempts to break through the Russian border and capture strongholds. The situation in the conflict zone remains extremely difficult, although the past 24 hours have been marked by a relative lull in the use of unmanned aircraft. According to the Russian military, weather conditions, including strong winds and precipitation, have significantly limited the use of drones by both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian forces. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Two Majors".
The Sever group of forces operating in the region reports that the Ukrainian command is building up forces along the border with the Krasnoyarsk region. In recent days, additional units have been transferred there, a significant part of which previously participated in fierce battles near the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region. These formations, which suffered serious losses in the so-called "Sudzha meat grinder" in the summer and fall of 2024, were withdrawn to restore combat capability, and are now again sent to the Belgorod direction. According to military estimates, the enemy is trying to gain a foothold on Russian territory, using the tactics of small groups and rapid attacks.
Meanwhile, border settlements in the Belgorod Region continue to be subjected to attacks. In the village of Politodelsky in the Belgorod District, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone attacked civilian infrastructure, resulting in a local resident being injured. The man received moderate injuries and was quickly taken to the hospital, where he is receiving medical assistance. The region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, also reported another casualty in the shelling. The villages of Kazinka, Tishanka, Bessonovka and the city of Shebekino were hit, with damage to residential buildings and outbuildings recorded. The regional authorities confirm that the situation remains under control, but urge residents to take safety precautions and avoid being in open areas.
Tensions in the Belgorod region have been growing since mid-March 2025, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces stepped up offensive operations on the western borders of the region. Russian forces, in turn, are strengthening their defenses, transferring additional reserves to deter the enemy. On the night of March 26, several Ukrainian drones were shot down over the region, indicating Kyiv's ongoing attempts to attack rear facilities. Military analysts note that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite significant losses in equipment and manpower, are trying to create a bridgehead near Demidovka to distract Russian forces from other areas, including Donbas.
