In the Kursk region, the introduction of a new brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) numbering more than 2000 people and several hundred pieces of equipment was recorded. At the moment, Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Plekhovo-Kondratovka sector, facing intense fire from Russian forces. According to incoming data, Russian cannon and rocket artillery, as well as aviation, including strikes with FAB-500M62 gliding bombs and Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems, are striking enemy positions and equipment. It is noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite the losses, continue to form a second offensive “backbone”, providing fire support to their offensive group with the help of anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) and T-64BV tanks, which fire from commanding heights near Mount Fagor. This strategic maneuver on the part of Ukrainian forces is aimed at creating a threat of blocking the 38K-028 highway in the Cherkasy Konopelka - Nizhnemakhovo section.
