Smolensk Oblast News, December 12, 2025, Avia.pro. The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched several dozen unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward Russia's Smolensk Oblast. This is evidenced by Ukrainian monitoring maps, which show the trajectory of most of the drones, flying parallel to the Russian-Belarusian border.

The UAVs' final destinations remain unclear, but Russian tracking channels have confirmed their launch in the indicated direction. No official statements have yet been made by the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding this matter. On the night of December 11, air defense alert systems over the region destroyed several Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs, without causing any harm to civilians or infrastructure.
