Ukrainian Armed Forces Bomb Kursk Region with Dozens of NATO Mines

Ukrainian military used remote mining in the village of Nizhny Mordok in the Kursk region, which led to uncontrolled explosions of Western mines. According to information provided to RIA Novosti by the commander of one of the Russian units, spontaneous explosions began to occur several days after the mines were planted, the number of which reached about 70.

Fortunately, there were no casualties among the local population, but livestock was damaged. The commander emphasized that numerous explosions were accidental, but the mine threat remains relevant in the region.

According to the Russian military, the Western-made mines used are set to automatically go off after a certain time. This fact makes the situation even more dangerous, since the explosions occur uncontrollably and can harm not only people but also infrastructure.
