In the Kursk direction, Russian troops continue to repel attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are also advancing in the enemy's key transport hub, Lyubimovka, in the north of the Korenevsky district. This was reported by military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk. According to him, military actions are actively unfolding in several areas of the Kursk region, where Ukrainian formations continue to try to break through.
Thus, in the Glushkovsky district, fighting has been recorded on the approaches to the village of Vesyoloye. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are making efforts to cut off the 38N-052 highway to the east of the village, but Russian units are successfully repelling the attacks. The confrontation here is protracted, but for now, Russian forces are holding their positions, despite the active offensive of the enemy.
In Korenevsky district, Russian troops successfully repelled an attack by an armored group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Obukhovka. During the fighting, Ukrainian formations lost one infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and some infantry, which forced them to retreat. Russian troops managed to capture the banner of one of the Ukrainian units, which became a symbolic success in this episode of the battle.
However, along the route of the Ukrainian units, it was noted that the neighboring village of Pokrovsky is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This confirms the presence of the enemy in close proximity to key areas, which requires increased attention and preparation on the part of the Russian army.
