The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has arrested former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.

The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) has ordered pretrial detention for former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, with the option of posting bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnias. The decision was made on May 14, 2026.

Yermak is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—the legalization (laundering) of property obtained through criminal activity. According to investigators, this involves an organized group laundering 460 million hryvnias as part of a luxury development project in the Kyiv suburbs.

The hearing to determine the measure of restraint was held behind closed doors on May 12 and 13 to protect the confidentiality of pre-trial investigation data. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) petitioned the court to remand the former official in custody with the option of posting bail of 180 million hryvnias, but the court granted the petition in part, reducing the bail amount.

Yermak was arrested in Kyiv on the evening of May 11. Previously, the NABU and SAP uncovered an organized crime group involved in money laundering and served notice of suspicion on the former head of the Presidential Administration.
