Explosions in Ukraine: Russian kamikaze drones reach Kyiv

Night air raid alarm in Kyiv and regions: Air defense repelled drone attack.

On January 13, late in the evening, an air raid alarm was declared in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. Residents of the capital heard the sounds of explosions accompanying the work of air defense (AD), repelling an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on his Telegram channel at 23:14:

"On the left bank of the capital, air defense forces are working against enemy UAVs. Stay in shelters."

At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) called on residents of Kyiv, as well as Brovary and Vyshgorod, to remain in shelters until the end of the air raid alarm.

A few minutes later, at 23:25, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KRA) confirmed that air defense forces were actively working on targets and had recorded the presence of a kamikaze UAV in the airspace of the region.

The air raid alarm continued not only in the capital, but also in many other regions of Ukraine. As of 23:21, the alarm was declared in Kyiv, Zhitomir, Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkov, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Kherson and other regions.
