Last night, explosions were heard over the Kyiv, Poltava and Zhytomyr regions - according to the Ukrainian side, Russian kamikaze drones of the Geran type were used, targeting Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. The greatest activity was recorded over the capital, where, according to local publics, the attack affected both targets within the Kyiv city limits and in its suburbs.

Residents of Kyiv are sharing footage and stories about the incident on social media. According to preliminary information, the strikes hit a number of infrastructure facilities, as well as possible military positions. Ukrainian air defense forces were put on alert to repel the attack, but, according to local sources, not all drones were intercepted.

The exact number of drones used in the attack has not yet been disclosed.
