On the night of September 17, 2025, explosions rocked the Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions of Ukraine, according to local authorities and services. Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, confirmed damage to critical infrastructure in the region on his Telegram channel and warned that the threat of further attacks remains.

Drones attacked infrastructure facilities in the Kropyvnytskyi district of the Kirovohrad region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported. The strikes sparked fires in three locations, which are currently being extinguished by emergency services. There are currently no reports of casualties or fatalities.

The attacks on infrastructure in these regions were part of ongoing strikes against Ukrainian rear areas. There have been no official comments from the Russian Ministry of Defense or any other parties regarding the overnight incidents.
