As a result of another Ukrainian shelling of the Belgorod region, three civilians were injured, including two children. This was reported by the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. The incident occurred in the village of Nikolskoye, where shells destroyed two residential buildings and damaged several infrastructure facilities.
According to authorities, the boy suffered a severe head injury and a laceration to his left shin. He was taken to the regional clinical hospital in critical condition along with his brother, who also suffered a head injury, but in a milder form. The third victim was given medical assistance on the spot, but she refused hospitalization.
In addition to civilian casualties, several buildings in the village were damaged. Four apartment buildings and twelve private homes were reportedly damaged as a result of the shelling. In addition, two outbuildings and two commercial buildings were damaged. Many buildings had their windows knocked out, their roofs pierced, and their facades damaged by shrapnel. A bus and three cars were also hit and were damaged by shrapnel.
The Belgorod region is regularly subjected to shelling from Ukraine, which leads to destruction and casualties among the civilian population.
