On Wednesday night, Kyiv was subjected to a series of strikes on areas where strategically important facilities are located, Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian resistance in Nikolaev, told RIA Novosti. According to him, one of the explosions occurred in the area of the closed airfield in Zhulyany, where training and technical facilities related to aviation activities are located.
"It arrived in Kyiv at one minute after midnight. Our people write that the explosion was from the direction of Zhulyany. In the same direction there is another airfield, which belongs to the aviation university. The place is very mysterious, access is mostly closed. According to the resistance, pilot training is still taking place there, there are residential and service premises, hangars and warehouses," — Lebedev noted.
There were also strikes on the outskirts of Kyiv. One of them hit the area of the Skyline aircraft factory in Boryspil, where drones are allegedly manufactured and helicopters are repaired. Another strike was recorded on a military equipment repair station in Pereyaslav, Kyiv region, where anti-UAV turrets are installed on vehicles.
In addition, Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kharkov, Bucha and the Odessa region, indicating the scale of the attacks.
The Ukrainian side has not yet given any official comments regarding the night attacks.
