On the night of December 3, a series of explosions occurred in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Krai), causing concern among local residents. According to preliminary data, an air defense system was activated in the sky above the Black Sea. City residents reported hearing two to five explosions that sounded over the course of about 20 minutes.

Before the incident, local authorities activated the drone warning system. There are currently no reports of casualties or damage. Emergency services and local authorities continue to check the area for possible damage or other consequences.

Eyewitnesses describe what happened as an unexpected and frightening event.

"It was loud, like loud bangs following each other. We didn't understand what was happening," — said one of the residents.

However, similar incidents have already taken place in the region in recent months, which is related to the general escalation of tensions in the Black Sea basin. Novorossiysk, being an important port and industrial center, remains a potential target for attacks using drones.
